candle care



Never leave burning candles unattended.


Always keep candles out of reach of children.


​Always burn your candle on safe holders or plates.


​Avoid draughts and corners as this can cause uneven burning.


​Avoid direct sunlight. Fading and discolouration can occur.


Avoid Fluroesent lighting as discolouration may occur.


​Remove labels and décor from candles before burning.


Always remove any wick debris from the candle.


Never add objects/debris or other liquids to a candle.


Ensure you place your candle in the approriate size Glass Hurricane Lantern, otherwise heat will reflect back onto the candle and cause it to soften and leak out the sides.


Never burn a candle completely. Dispose of it when it gets to 2.5cms from the base.


​​Candles have a memory. Pillar candles should be burnt for one hour for every 2.5cms of diameter when you first light it. This prevents candles tunneling down the middle.


Always trim the wick! It is so important to always keep the wick trimmed to 5mm.

TRICK - Break off the hardened black wick before you light it.


​Burn times quoted on this website are minimums but they will depend on conditions. Remember your candle will burn faster and unevenly in a draught.


For candles with a smooth finish that may be looking a little dull, a Lady's Nylon Stocking can be used to polish the surface.



Most importantly, you need to light them - candles are designed to be enjoyed and to add sublime ambience to your home!



refunds & exchanges




Under no circumstances do we offer refunds for goods. If you have a faulty good, please email within 7 days of receiving the product to discuss a solution. 





If you purchase an product that you are not satisfied with, doesn't fit or doesn't suit, we can provide you with an online credit. The credit expires in 12 months and can be used on any product online. In these instances, the product/s must be returned to us at your expense. You must notify us by email at of your return/exchange request within 3 days of delivery for this offer to apply. The product must be in its original condition with labels and packaging and no damages. 



International purchases


Sale products and products purchased using discount codes do not qualify for exchanges.



All prices shown on this website are Retail Prices, include GST and are in New Zealand dollars (NZD). Payments must be received in New Zealand currency.  We reserve the right to amend our prices from time to time.


Do you ship International?


Yes we do. Please email us with an idea of which products, how many, as well as the address they are going to be sent to. We can then provide you with an idea of shipping cost. In the past we have shipped to Australia, America and England.


How fast will I receive my order?


We make all our candles to order. We ask that you allow 10 working days. But it usually only takes a couple of days depending on what you order. We always email you to let you know your order has been shipped. If you have special time restraints please email us first to clarify :)


Can I track my order once shipped?


We don't usually provide tracking numbers, but we can - please request this at time of purchase. We believe it is our job to communicate with the courier.


Delivery times?


We ship products via PBT and CourierPost Nationwide. Deliveries to all North Island main centers are usually overnight. Deliveries to the South Island main centers are usually 2 days. All smaller town and rural address please add 1 extra day.


My order has not arrived?


We will lodge enquiries to ensure delivery occurs as soon as possible.  Replacement products will be dispatched as soon as possible at our discretion. We are unable give a guaranteed time or day of delivery. We will not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from late delivery.
